Creating Templates

Docmosis templates can be created using Microsoft Word or LibreOffice - with NO plug-ins.

There is no need to learn a new report-writing-tool with limited features.

End-users, business analysts and developers can easily collaborate on designing and editing document templates.

Creating Templates is EASY

Docmosis templates are just regular Microsoft Word or LibreOffice Writer documents - with special text-based placeholders (markups) for any dynamic content.

These rich and well-known editors are the natural choice if you want to quickly and easily layout great looking documents.

There are no plug-ins needed for Word or Writer.

Placeholders can be added to a template just by typing.  It's as simple as typing "less-than less-than", then "the name of the data item", then "greater-than greater-than"

Placeholders look like this:     <<firstName>>

When Docmosis replaces the placeholders with the data, all formatting will be retained.

To specify formatting like: bold & italic - just apply the desired formatting to the placeholder.

Like this:     <<firstName>>

The Docmosis templating syntax is simple to understand yet can produce surprisingly complex output.

That simple concept is expanded to provide techniques to include: images/barcodes, using repeating data in lists or table, changing document content based on conditional data and much more.
