I've got a document that contains a large image placeholder covering most of the page (i.e. if I have 4 images in my data set then I should get 4 pages generated). There is nothing else on the page except the image placeholder. The document generates fine but as soon as I attempt to add a static image into the header of my document (i.e. the company logo), docmosis appears to hang retrieving the generated document.

If I shrink the size of the image placeholder so that the document does not repeat pages (i.e. only one page is produced) or I only have one image in my data set then the document generates without any problems. It appears to only happen when I have more than one page of data and the "Header" image inserted.

What can I do to stop this happening?

Can you check to see if the images that are getting rendered into the body are overlapping with the header in the final document? If so, there might be a layout issue causing overlapping images (when you have an image in the header) and the converter (or OpenOffice) may be having trouble with this.
If this is the case, you have several options to control the layout:
1) Drop the image (the one in the body) into a single-cell table (if that suits your layout)
2) make sure there is some text before the image (that should force the image to be anchored well in the document)

Can you tell us what version of OpenOffice you are using and what your template is written with?

If this is not the case or the solution doesn't help, then this is new to us. Feel free to log a support call and attach your template. We'll investigate and advise.

Fixed

I added a blank line before the image (option 2) and it fixed the problem. The document now generates quickly and without problems with each page being filled by a separate image.

Thanks for your help.

BTW, I'm using Open Office 2.3 and the template is written in Word and generating as both a PDF and Word Document.
